Description
Uganda is the second largest producer and largest exporter of coffee in Africa. It produces 75% Robusta and 25% Arabica. This arabica is grown around Bugisu and Kapchorwa on the slopes of Mount Elgon.
Bariguna Coffee Ltd. works currently in partnership with two producers, creating access to buyers who are committed to dependable and fair relationships. Bariguna supports the producers in improving their farm management and processing methods to obtain higher and fairer prices than is currently the case.
This coffee is hand-picked and then sorted by hand during and after drying.
Many are organically grown, since most farmers don’t have the financial means to purchase chemical fertilisers and pesticides.
