What is CO2 Decaf process?
CO2 Decaffeination is a method that utilises pressurised carbon dioxide to extract caffeine from coffee beans. Unlike other decaffeination processes, it does’nt rely on chemical solvents, making it a great alternative option for those seeking a more natural decaffeination method.
The caffeine is extracted from the swollen green coffee by naturally available carbon dioxide. CO2 is an elementary part of our natural environment. It exist as a gas or dissolved in water and is part of the air. Under certain temperature and pressure conditions the CO2 can be used to decaffeinated green coffee.
